The standard Japanese endings __じゃないか, __ではないか, and __じゃん can become __やん, __やんか/やんけ, and __がな respectively in Kansai-ben.
These Kansai sentence endings can also be used in the same way as __んだよ in standard Japanese.
There are many uses for these sentence endings; common ones are confirmation, excuses, accusation, notification, and persuasion. The function changes depending on the situation and tone. The __がな ending is used more often by older people.

Formation

*やんけ is used more often by people in Kawachi (east of Osaka) and Wakayama.

＿＿やんか (confirmation, accusation)

Standard	さっき、言ったじゃない。
Kansai-ben	さっき、言うたやんか。
English	Didn't I just said that?

＿＿やんか (excuse)

Standard	だって、あなた教えてくれなかったじゃない。
Kansai-ben	だって、あんた教えてくれへんかったやんか。
English	It's because you didn't let me know.

＿＿やんか and ＿＿やわ (notification)

Standard	あ、もうこんな時間じゃない。 あ、もうこんな時間だわ。
Kansai-ben	あ、もうこんな時間やんか。 あ、もうこんな時間やわ*。
English	Ugh, it's that time already?

*When やん, やんか, やんけ and がな are used as notification, they are used the same as the final particle わ.

＿＿がな (persuasion)

Standard	きちんと説明したら分かってくれるんじゃないの。 きちんと説明したら分かってくれるよ。
Kansai-ben	ちゃんと説明したら分かってくれるがな。
English	They would understand if you explained it properly.

Commentary

Combinations of sentence endings

やん, やんか, やんけ, and がな are often attached to other sentence endings for asking and explanations (e.g., ねん, てん, ん, のん and たん). In those cases, they are used in the same way as んだよ in standard Japanese.

＿＿ねんやん(か)

Standard	夏休み、ハワイ行くんだよ。
Kansai-ben	夏休み、ハワイ行くねんやん(か)。
English	On summer vacation, I'm going to Hawaii.

＿＿たんやん

Standard	あの人、実は彼女(が)いたんだよ。
Kansai-ben	あの人、実は彼女おったんやん(か)。
English	Actually, he has a girlfriend.

＿＿んやがな

Standard	明日、まごが来るんだよ。
Kansai-ben	明日、まご来るんやがな。
English	My grandkid is coming tomorrow.

Polite Expressions

やん, やんか, やんけ, and がな can be used with ですor ます for politeness, but are rarely used in a formal setting.

＿＿ましたやんか

Standard	昨日、電話すると言ったじゃないですか。
Kansai-ben	昨日、電話する言いましたやんか。
English	Didn't I say that I was going to call you yesterday?
